Former Riverside County Sheriff Larry D. Smith Backs Russ Bogh for State Senate
January 12, 2010
Former Riverside County Sheriff Larry D. Smith has announced
his support of Russ Bogh for State Senate.
"As a member of the State Assembly Russ Bogh wrote legislation to keep our
families safe from crime," said former Riverside County Sheriff Larry D.
Smith. "He's never wavered from his conservative values and has always been
a staunch supporter of public safety. And as a Riverside County businessman
he understands the importance of making our communities safe places to live,
work and raise a family. He'll serve us well in the State Senate."
Russ Bogh served Riverside County residents in the State Assembly from
2001-2006. During that time he was selected by fellow Republicans to serve
as the Assembly Republican Caucus Chairman -- the second ranking Republican
leader in the Assembly.
Russ and his wife, Sheri, reside in Beaumont along with their three
children.
The special election primary for the 37th Senate District will be held
Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
Former Sheriff Smith joins Palm Springs Councilman Chris Mills and many
others in supporting Russ Bogh.
