Beaumont Mayor and City Councilmembers Endorse Russ Bogh for State Senate
January 25, 2010
Beaumont Mayor Brian DeForge and City Councilmembers Roger Berg, Larry
Dressel, and Jeff Fox are supporting conservative Republican Russ Bogh for
State Senate.
"Republican Russ Bogh is a long-time Riverside County resident and local
businessman with a proven record of creating jobs, fighting taxes and
cutting government waste," said Brian DeForge, Mayor of Beaumont. "State
government needs a good kick in the pants to help get our economy moving
again. Russ is committed to do just that - and we have absolute confidence
that he can, and will."
Russ Bogh served Riverside County residents in the State Assembly from
2001-2006. During that time he was selected by fellow Republicans to serve
as the Assembly Republican Caucus Chairman -- the second ranking Republican
leader in the Assembly.
A longtime resident of Riverside County, Russ and his wife, Sheri, reside in
Beaumont along with their three children.
The special election primary for the 37th Senate District will be held
Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
Beaumont Mayor Brian DeForge, Councilmembers Roger Berg, Larry Dressel, and
Jeff Fox join Cathedral City Mayor Kathy DeRosa, Councilmembers England and
Vasquez, Corona City Councilmembers Spiegel, Skipworth, Montanez, Nolan and
Scott, past Riverside CRA President Linda Soubirous, Desert Hot Springs
Mayor Yvonne Parks, former Riverside County Sheriff Larry Smith, Palm
Springs Councilman Chris Mills and many other Riverside County leaders in
supporting conservative Republican Russ Bogh for the State Senate.
