Biography
Conservative Republican Russ Bogh is Vice President of Business
Development for Bogh Construction, a long time Riverside County
family business founded by his father. In that role he has helped
spearhead a growth in business, creating 30% more jobs in the
last years.
Bogh's business specializes in building both elementary and high
schools in Riverside County, and has worked on projects such the
Palm Desert High School and the Gerald Ford Elementary School in
Coachella.
Praised by The Riverside Press-Enterprise for being " . . .
honest . . . bright and energetic," Russ Bogh served Riverside
County residents as a Member of the State Assembly from 2001
through 2006.
In fact, Russ Bogh's leadership was so respected during his public
service that he was selected to represent his colleagues as the
Assembly Republican Caucus Chairman -- the second most powerful
position among Assembly Republicans in the California Legislature.
A direct descendant of San Bernardino's first mayor, Amasa Lyman,
Russ Bogh has been involved in public service throughout his
entire life. Russ was principal liaison to more than three million
constituents in San Bernardino and Riverside counties when he
served as director of the Inland Empire Office of Governor Pete
Wilson.
So it's no surprise that while serving in the California
Legislature, Russ Bogh was the co-founder and former Chairman of
the bi-partisan Inland Empire Caucus. Moreover, Russ also served
as Vice Chairman of the Assembly Utilities and Commerce Committee
in addition to sitting on the Assembly Insurance and
Transportation Committees.
After departing office due to term limits, Russ Bogh continued his
business career as Vice President of Business Development for Bogh
Construction. Russ' family company specializes in building both
elementary and high schools in the Inland Empire where they've
conducted business for over fifty years.
Born in San Bernardino and a graduate of Beaumont High School with
a degree in business economics from California State University at
San Bernardino, Russ Bogh and his wife, Sheri, along with their
three children, reside in Riverside County.
